On the occasion of Coma Patient Day, we encourage you to listen to or read an edited version of the webinar from April 18th, 2024, to which many experienced specialists accepted the invitation - practitioners who have been working with patients in coma for years.
This webinar was not created just for patients. It was created for you – families, loved ones, caregivers – who are thrown into an unknown world full of difficult decisions and even more difficult questions from one day to the next. It is precisely when the worst happens – when our loved one falls into a coma – that we do not have a ready list of questions. We do not know what to tell the doctors. We do not know what to demand. We do not know where to seek help. And that is why this webinar was created: what do I need to know, what to ask, who to turn to – and why.
This initiative was put forward by Dr. Elżbieta Drożdż - Kubicka, whom I thank with all my heart - because every year, both on March 22nd, World Coma Day, and on April 18th, our Polish Coma Patient Day, she reminds us of the "Question List".
Thanks to her, we learn that knowledge is not only power - it is often the only salvation.
