Dr. Elżbieta Dróżdż-Kubicka from the "Alarm Clock" Clinic for Children in Warsaw, specialist in pediatric, psychiatric and epidemiological nursing as well as organization and management. Nurse practitioner and lecturer. Professional experience: Department of Neurology of the Municipal Hospital in Inowrocław, since 1991 employee of the IPCZD in Warsaw in the Rehabilitation Clinic, Neurosurgery Clinic, at the Children's Center in Otwock. Since 2013, coordinating nurse at the "Alarm Clock" Clinic for children in Warsaw. For 2 terms president of PSPP (Polish Association of Pediatric Nurses), currently vice president of PSPP. Actively cooperates with Ewa Błaszczyk's "Akogo?" Foundation since it was established, member of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives for the second term, member of the Program Council of the Nurse and Midwife Magazine. Awarded with the Bronze Cross of Merit, the Silver Badge of Merit for the Self-Government of Nurses and Midwives, the Meritorious for WOIPiP distinction, she will share her knowledge and experience in a conversation about the scientific textbook created on the initiative, many years of practice and scientific work edited by Dr Elżbieta Dróżdż-Kubicka "Care for a patient with quantitative disorders of consciousness".
Inspiring stories: You will hear the story of Beata, Kacper's mother, who had an accident 12 years ago and has been in a minimally conscious state since then. Her experiences are a source of hope and strength for many families in a similar situation.
Support and news: We will learn about the latest activities of the "Akogo?" Foundation in 2024, which has been supporting people in coma and their families for 23 years.
Polish premiere: We will present the Polish premiere of the Czarna Owca publishing house's book "The Sense of Meditation" by Dr. Steven Laureys, which addresses the subject of meditation and its impact on the brain and consciousness.
